Yamil Boorizari

Dancer / faculty

A native of Cuba. He is currently studying Computer Science at Virginia Commonwealth University. Yamil has performed and taught in his native country of Cuba with the TV program “Para Bailar Cacino” where he obtained first place as the main dancer. He has also performed in The Cujae College for their national cultural festivals, where he obtained the first place in Cuban Salsa, Tango Argentino and Rueda de Cacino.  Yamil teaches and performs at the schools and colleges of Virginia, through the Latin Ballet educational program "Be Proud of Yourself". He is the instructor of Salsa and Bachata at the Latin Ballet.
