DeShon N. Rollins

DeShon Donté Rollins is from Southampton County, Virginia and is an alumnus of Virginia State University and the famed Joffrey Ballet School located in New York City, where he trained intensively under some of the top artist/instructors in the business. He has had the privilege of performing for the Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, and Brooklyn Nets. DeShon has been featured in The Washington Post, VH1’s UNICEF campaign, Western Tidewater Living magazine, Dancers of RVA and has also appeared in the Netflix’s movie Burning Sands.
DeShon is a touring Professional Dancer and Faculty with The Latin Ballet of Virginia (LBV). He has performed across the United States as well as internationally in Spain, Colombia, Brazil and Mexico. While touring, DeShon enjoys spreading the art and love of dance through community service and many outreach assignments. In addition to dancing professionally and teaching with the Latin Ballet of Virginia, DeShon is a teaching artist for Richmond Ballet’s Minds in Motion. DeShon also assists LBV’s Artistic Director in rehearsing repertoire and training the LBV’s Junior Company.
DeShon strives to frame, construct, instruct, and inspire youths across the world that anything is possible through hard work and dedication.
